One good thing I’d have extolled if not being caught up by some other academic schedules is the roads construction project initiated and accomplished by Honourable Abdullahi Sa’ad Abdulkadir (Baba Iyali) into his constituency Ningi/Warji.

The humane leader has been excelling in various ways as far as leadership is concerned. Besides road projects, he’s been also providing our youths, women and elderly people with empowering programs, which involve the distribution of various items of value to enable them to cope well with their lives.

This is what we expect from all of our leaders occupying the various public offices in the country. Indeed, whoever does such humane programs should deserve our praises and espousal. We’re with whoever strives to better our society, communities and the nation at large. That is why I’ve always admired the leadership of Prof. Babagana Zulum even though he’s not doing for my community but at least for humanity’s sake; the man always gains my credit. A good representation of people’s welfare is the main purpose of any government worldwide. Africa and Nigeria in particular should not be an exception.

So sad that some of those who are entrusted with the task of representing people are instead representing only themselves and their families; thinking they’re so clever, but unknown to them, they’re just cheating themselves and their families. This life lasts merely for some moments.

As the days go by, one may be in power on a public seat, but if they could think well; someone had been there before them and indeed they will also leave for someone else someday. So, if one’s wise, they would rather do well with their power so they may be remembered in people’s prayers when they are no more!!!

Not only the leaders, but the masses also contribute a lot to the deterioration of leadership in the country. The situation is bilateral. I’ve always found myself ambivalent toward it. It’s unfair to fault and curse our leaders for our difficulties while we too are not doing the right thing.

We must change our bad attitudes and misbehavior if we want to have humane leaders.

Finally, Hon. Baba Iyali, may Allah reward you with more fortunes and all goodness. May he guide the other leaders to change and do the right thing and remain blessed.
